The Monk's Four Points to Power Programme: The Champion Wisdom Stage

In the Warrior Learning Stage we intellectualized the right or wrong of a shot. We have left that area where we miss shots because we are concerned about playing position. We have learned to focus on making the shot first, and then letting the stroke take care of position. We do not miss key balls. In the Champions Wisdom Stage all shots have the same value. Therefore there is no key ball. A shot is what it is to us in the Champions Wisdom Stage and we deliver the right stroke for that particular shot. All shots call for a stroke. We see the shot, know the stroke, and shoot the shot.

As a shot is no more than a shot to a Champions Wisdom Stage player so is a match, no more than a match. In tournaments, a Champions Wisdom Stage player will be just as strong in the semi finals as he was in the first match. He will be just as strong when the match is tied as when he has a big lead. Nothing really changes in value. The requirements are always the same.

If a Champion Wisdom player is ahead six to nothing in a race to seven, he gives just as much energy to winning that game as he did when they began the match. Winning the game at hand is all that matters. A Champion Wisdom player will find that he wins more lop sided matches than he did when he was in the Warrior Learning stage.

We will never stop learning. We will always seek knowledge. What separates us from the Warrior Learners is that we know that knowledge is not the total answer. There is no big secret waiting under a rock somewhere that will enable us to burst through. There is no magic shot that will instantly propel us to a championship. In the Champion Wisdom stage, knowledge is not what drives us. It is our skill that carries us along. We now find ourselves spending more time in skill development rather then the accumulation of knowledge.

If you have not mastered the Bronze Level, go back now, and accumulate that knowledge that is there for you.

In the Champion Wisdom stage it is about your nature expressing itself. There can be no other way.
