The Monk's Four Points to Power Programme: The Champion Wisdom Stage |
"A single thought will divert the arrow from its course" The score, the position on the tournament chart has nothing to do with the layout in front of us. The money ball does not know it is the money ball. We don't place value on any one shot over another for we only sense what we want to do and we do it. Our rhythm is predictable, our pace falls into a consistent sense of timing. In the Champions Wisdom Stage we simply know what to do. This is the land of dead stroke. No thought. We are one with the table. The cue becomes a part of our soul. There are moments when we could not imagine ourselves without a cue in our hand. I had a student who worked on my material for one solid year. He practiced and practiced and still did not win tournaments. Finally he told his mother, "I am not going to think about The Monk anymore. I am just going to play". He began to win tournaments and eventually became the number one junior player in New Zealand. He moved from the Warrior Learning stage into the Champion Wisdom Stage and simply used his senses to find his way around the game. In the Champion Wisdom Stage we are not preoccupied with results. We cannot put results in our awareness mode. We cannot sense something that does not exist therefore we have no real concern with results. We have found freedom in our performance. We are not concerned with the great shot we just shot. We do not carry the past with us. No longer are we suffering from things that have no relevance to our efforts. Since we are not distracted with concern we can deliver the stroke with no interference. The stroke, minus the interference, equals the shot. We simply see the shot, know the stroke, and then shoot the shot. We are free in the Champion Wisdom Stage. Our rhythm and pace is matched to our awareness skills. Write to me now and I will send you a free download of Focus on Winning. You will learn all about aligning yourself with the Universal Mind so you can be free to perform. You must send me a short essay on how you changed your perceptions in the Warrior Learning Stage. |
